Precast Concrete Stairs bring many benefits to the Architect, Designer, and Contractor. The benefits of using Durlach Precast Stairs - instead of Metal-Pan or Cast-in-Place Stairs - are:
- Precast stairs speed construction work and provide safe, immediate routes between floors under construction. They can be set at the same time as the building's structural system; therefore, no temporary stairs are needed and no OSHA site safety issues arise.
- Any finish is possible on our risers and treads, e.g. broom finish or smooth cast finish. Embedded steel or aluminum nosings are available.
- Durlach can cast stairs and landings in one piece (monolithic) if required. Our landings have a cast finish on top and bottom for immediate use. A broom finish or recess for concrete topping is also available.
- Our staircases can be custom-built to suit almost all Architectural and Structural designs - even curved stairs are not a problem.
- The finished design has an all-around smooth surface, which allows direct application of paint, carpet or tiles.
- The manufacturing in a controlled environment with steel forms results in superior accuracy. Hence, no violation of building codes and tolerances occurs.
- Concrete stairs have a minimum "Fire Resistance" of 1 hour.
- Concrete stairs sustain harsh weather conditions, thus resulting in low maintenance cost.
